On Saturday, December 20th, 2025, I photographed my final session of the year, and it could not have ended on a sweeter note. I had the absolute pleasure of spending the evening with Nanci and Luke, newlyweds visiting from New York and eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first baby girl. From the moment we met, they were so lovely, gracious, and genuinely kind, and I truly enjoyed getting to know them. Pensacola Beach welcomed us with the most unexpected gift — sunny skies, warm temperatures, and a breathtaking sunset that felt almost unreal for December. After weeks of cold, blustery weather, this day felt like a quiet miracle, and Nanci and Luke couldn’t have picked a luckier moment to step onto the sand and celebrate this beautiful season of their lives.
December is usually a whirlwind for me, filled with sessions, deadlines, and the constant pull between work and the magic of the holidays. This year, I made a conscious decision to slow down and focus on my family, taking on very few sessions and allowing myself to be present in the joy of the season. For the first time in a long while, I wasn’t rushing, stressed, or stretched thin — and I truly loved it. That sense of calm made this shoot even more special. I felt refreshed, grateful, and genuinely excited to be back behind the camera, capturing the quiet connection between two people on the brink of becoming parents.
As usual, I’m running just a little behind on blogging — with Christmas only days away, my to-do list is still overflowing. I’m deep into last-minute cookie baking for dear friends and spending every evening wrapping gifts, savoring the familiar, slightly chaotic rhythm of the season. So to this beautiful, friendly couple from New York who are patiently waiting to see their images, thank you. These are just a few sneak peeks for now, but the rest are coming soon — and I promise they’ll be worth the wait. I’m so grateful to have ended my year with such love, warmth, and joy, and I can’t imagine a more perfect way to close out 2025.
