A Picture-Perfect Surprise Proposal on Pensacola Beach

I am so excited to introduce another beautiful Pensacola Beach engagement session featuring Keiante and Faith.


I have to laugh every time I think about this session because I arrived expecting a family photoshoot... and instead, I witnessed one of the sweetest surprise proposals!


To say I was excited would be an understatement. Keiante had thought through every detail, and his plan was absolutely perfect.

Surprise proposals can be challenging for photographers. While they're incredibly romantic, they also come with a bit of pressure. You only get one chance to capture that once-in-a-lifetime moment. If the bride-to-be turns the wrong way, if the lighting isn't quite right, or if you're standing a few feet off, you can miss the very moment you've been waiting for. I've certainly had to recreate proposals after the fact, but nothing compares to capturing the genuine emotion exactly as it unfolds.


Keiante came up with the perfect solution.

He invited their families to Pensacola Beach, telling Faith they had booked a family photoshoot. Since she already knew they had hired a photographer, there was never a reason for her to question why I was there. That gave me the freedom to photograph every smile, every tear, every look of surprise, and every heartfelt moment without giving away what was about to happen.


When Keiante finally got down on one knee, Faith's expression said it all. The joy, the surprise, and the overwhelming emotion made for one of those moments that reminds me why I love what I do. Being trusted to preserve memories like these is truly an honor.
