A beautiful morning at navarre beach
Some sessions are about more than just taking photographs—they're about celebrating family and preserving memories that become even more meaningful as life gets busier.
When Dede contacted me to schedule a family session during their vacation at Navarre Beach, she shared that this photo session was actually her birthday present. With two grown children away at college, getting everyone together isn't always easy, so it was the perfect opportunity to capture this special season of life.
Her daughter, Madison, had recently graduated from Auburn University, while her son, Cooper, had just begun his first year at the University of Montevallo. It was easy to see how proud Dede was of both of them.
From the moment we met, I knew this was going to be a fun session. The family was constantly laughing, teasing one another, and sharing inside jokes. Their personalities made my job incredibly easy because every smile and laugh was completely genuine.
Since they really wanted photographs near the Navarre Beach Pier, we decided an early morning session would give us the best lighting and the fewest crowds. It was definitely the right choice.
As the morning went on, the beach became noticeably busier, especially around the pier, but we had already captured so many beautiful images. The soft morning light, the emerald waters, and the white sand created the perfect backdrop for this wonderful family.
I truly enjoyed spending the morning with the Myl family. Their love for one another was evident in every interaction, and it made photographing them an absolute pleasure.
