It is hard to believe that this day had finally come. It was such a beautiful experience! I mean, who knew watching your kid cross the stage could stir up so many emotions? On May 22nd, we witnessed our youngest daughter graduate from high school, and let me tell you, the pride was overflowing. She was just two points shy of being an Honor Student, and honestly, we couldn’t care less about those two points. We are just so thrilled to see hard she had worked, and much she had grown in the last two years.
Can you believe she already has her sights set on Florida Atlantic University? Like, wow! As parents, it’s a little bittersweet knowing she’ll be heading off to a new adventure, especially since she’s moving from our cozy little rural town to a bustling mid-size city. The distance will take some getting used to, but we support her wholeheartedly. It’s amazing to see her excited about this next chapter and ready to take on the world!
The graduation ceremony itself was a classic mix of emotions—long, hot, and sticky, but completely worth it. Looking around, you could see it in the eyes of every student and parent there: that electric excitement. It’s the kind of moment that captures the essence of not just the milestone of graduation, but the beginning of new adventures, and I couldn’t help but think about how important it is to document these fleeting moments. The smiles, the cheers, the tears of joy, and all those proud mom and dad moments unfolding right before us.
Honestly, it makes me think of the senior photoshoots that capture that sweet spot between childhood and adulthood. Those portraits tell a story about who they are in that moment and all the dreams they carry with them. Graduation is just another extension of that narrative—marking the end of one chapter and the exciting start of another. Just like those portraits, this ceremony was a snapshot in time, reminding us how precious these moments really are.
