What a wonderful evening I had with the Brennan Family at Pensacola Beach! The weather was absolutely perfect—the temperatures were low, and a gentle breeze came off the water, setting the stage for a relaxed and beautiful session.

The highlight of the evening was, of course, their newest addition, little Blair, who is just seven months old. I had forgotten how special it feels to be in the presence of such sweetness—babies truly are a gift to photograph, and Blair did not disappoint. With her big, beautiful blue eyes and endless smiles, she lit up every frame. Watching her curiosity and joy as she took in the beach was inspiring and heartwarming.

This session was also exciting for me as it gave me the chance to test out my newly rented Canon RF 28–70 lens. I’ll be sharing more about that later, but for now, I can say it was the perfect tool for capturing the warmth and love of this family’s evening by the shore, and it allowed me to compare it to my Canon RF85mm f/1.2.  Will this forever change my life as so many influencers and YouTubers tell me?  The answer might surprise you.

The Brennans were such a joy to work with, and I’m so grateful they chose me to document this special time in their lives. Sessions like these remind me why I love what I do—freezing little moments that families will treasure for years to come.
