Family Session at Pensacola Beach
This summer has been such a fun and memorable one for me. I’ve had the joy of photographing so many families, many of them visiting our little slice of paradise here in Pensacola Beach. Each family brings their own story, and it’s always an honor to capture those special moments.
Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing the Shirley family, along with the Kordsiemon family. They came together to visit their youngest son, who is attending college in the area. To make their time even more special, they rented a house right across from the beach. What a perfect setup—time to cook, gather, entertain, and simply enjoy a week together by the ocean.
It was such a joy to see grandparents spending quality time with their grandchildren, parents relaxing and having fun, and everyone enjoying each other’s company. That’s what family vacations are all about—connection, laughter, and making memories that last a lifetime.
The only downside was the weather. We are headed into hurricane season, and with it comes unexpected rain. Our original Friday evening sunset shoot had to be cancelled because of a huge thunderstorm. Instead, we met on Saturday morning. While we were greeted with clouds and a bit of humidity, the beach was wonderfully empty. Even though we didn’t get our usual clear blue water, the sunrise was still beautiful. Honestly, I had such a hard time narrowing it down to just 10 photos for their sneak peek—they all looked amazing in these family portraits.
And of course, I had the best job of all—capturing it all against the beautiful backdrop of Pensacola Beach.
